In 1945, after the ravages of the civil war, in any town in Spain, the dead began to get up and walk among the living.
The inhabitants will react to this in the most diverse ways, while the authority, a couple of civil guards, together with the doctor, will try to control the madness in which they have been involved.
Many will welcome their loved ones and others will be horrified at such an idea while the village priest tries to convince everyone of the divine nature of what is happening.
But there is nothing divine about it.
