The Vineyards of Burgundy on the Paths of Unesco
On the UNESCO paths
The Côtes de Nuits and Beaune vineyard has been contributing for almost two thousand years to the reputation of Burgundy wines and continues to be one of the global references today for great red wines. Like the wines it produces, great vintages, first vintages and even generic names, this unique territory develops strong values of openness, discovery and meeting. A unique heritage and cultural site shaped by humans for more than 20 centuries!
With this new mobile application discover the climates from the hiking trails that cross them. Around Corton's hill and Santenay… to start. Bourgogne Rando Vignes allows you to walk through the vines thanks to its geolocated cartography. Audio cultural guides, explanations on climates, directional and tourist indications and an augmented reality option accompany you throughout the ride in order to combine nature and culture. Hiking circuits are downloaded beforehand to navigate with on -board technology and thus avoid any connection problem.
Before putting on your walking shoes, do not hesitate to consult the Slides "Discover" to familiarize yourself with this notion of climates today on the front of the stage with its registration as a UNESCO World Heritage. Because today, this is a model of viticulture that radiates worldwide, just like the names of certain wines, unclassifiable like that of Romanée-Conti.
But Côte-d'Or, heart of Burgundy, are also:
- specialties that make the gastronomic reputation of the destination, such as the snails of Burgundy, the mustard of Dijon, the gingerbread, the anise of Flavigny, the blackcurrant and all the tables of inspired chefs,
-An exceptional heritage such as Dijon, capital of the Dukes of Burgundy, Beaune, capital of the great wines of Burgundy, Châteauneuf-en-auxois and Flavigny-sur-Ozerain, most beautiful villages of France, Semur-en-auxois La Médieval, Montbard and its naturalist Buffon, the abbeys of Cisterciennes de Fontenay and Cîteaux And the famous battle between César and Vercingétorix, Châtillon-sur-Seine and the famous Vix vase…
- A welcoming nature to practice in peace of many outdoor activities: hiking, cycling, river tourism, swimming, golf, climbing ...
Whether you are rather connected wine, gastronomy, heritage or nature, the Côte-d'Or is made for you.
